Jeremy Schlitz discusses coach evaluations and having tough conversations. He explains the checklist he uses for the tough conversations with a coach that can involve improving practices, the program in general, or letting a coach go. A meeting with the coach should be scheduled and a framework of the meeting should be provided to the coach so they can be prepared. If you feel the meeting may be contentious, then you should have another administrator present and allow that opportunity for the coach. He recommends having a morning meeting in the office or neutral space. The why or theme of this conversation should always be "Kids First".
