Baserunning: Never Listen to the Coach with Mike Parker – Stillwater Area HS (MN)

December 20, 2021 • By Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association

Watch as Coach explains that if a baserunner has to wait for a coach to tell them to go home on a passed ball or to take 2nd base on a dirt ball, it is probably too late. Players are instructed to make baserunning decisions on their own, and in practices there are no 1st or 3rd base coaches. The goal is to give the baserunners the freedom to be aggressive and push the limit, forcing the opponents to make plays.
