Watch as Coach Tyler Gillum discusses the four different types of hops that an infielder will receive in a game. He places balls on the ground to help visualize long and short hops and well as in-between short hops and in-between long hops. The infielder must try to avoid the short hops by using their feet and body position. On short hops the infielder should reach for the ball and use a receiving technique for long hops.
