While Mack was coaching at Texas preparing to play a 4 and 8 at Texas A&M, Coach Bill Parcells called him the week of the game. He told him about the fat rat, cheese, and poison, and that they had big heads and would probably lose the game. Texas won the game and went on to win the National Title. Coach Brown states the importance of convincing your team that the best team does not always win but the team that plays the best that day does.
