Watch as Coach Kirk Ferentz discusses and shows video clips of this offensive line blocking technique. He will focus on the drive and inside and outside zone techniques. The drive block involves working on steps, being effective, efficient, and getting their pads underneath the defender. For the inside zone, the aiming point is the play side numbers with a quick first step and bringing the back side knee through the defender. The outside zone requires a deeper first step and getting up on the defender quickly with the goal of moving him off the ball.
