Watch as Coach Paige Cassady explains, and pitchers demonstrate this big plate drill. The visual for the pitchers is the cone. Anything outside the cone is fair game but they cannot increase the zone outside of the net or the batter's box. Pitcher will mix curve balls and screw balls and if they hit the cone it is considered a hit. The focus is to still tunnel but have break points expand or extend the strike zone.
