Watch as Coach explains, and a triple jumper demonstrates these penultimate takeoff drills. The first takeoff drill works on isolating the last two strides of the long jump with the penultimate being next to last. This allows the athlete to feel the rhythm when they are walking which allows them to feel it much better when running.
